Titans Tournament Recap

What a great weekend of hockey !

Temiscaming never fails to impress me with their unweathering support for hockey even on Easter weekend. Over 1,000 attended the games over the weekend. A total of 36 games were played. Interesting facts: 227 goals were scored, the tournament was run almost without any delays.

Events like these require a lot of things to come together. Special thanks go to Tim, Roger, Elaine & Claude (ownership group) for pitching in big time. Other notable contributions were made by Robert Beauchemin on security and Eli Lauzon(Timekeeper), who like me (Bubba) were there for all 36 games. Another person who was very helpful all weekend was Brent Kovach, who filled in wherever needed.

To all the volunteers that helped out at the door or checking hockey bags during the entire tournament TAHNK YOU !

As far as the 50-50 draws are concerned, I don't recall the names of all the winners but all three draws had a winner. For their contribution the Temiscaming Minor hockey association collected $695 from the draw. For the NHL tickets. It was Stacey Sharpe that won the Capitols vs Leafs and Marc-Antoine Gaudet the Panthers vs Senators tickets. Thanks to Steve Bernard and Luc Violette for the tickets.

I would like to thank all the teams that participated, Congratulations to our division winners.

Again my hat's off to all those who spent their Easter weekend at the Centre watching all the games and cheering for your favorites.

Quel week-end de hockey exceptionnel !

Temiscaming ne cesse de m'impressionner par son soutien indéfectible au hockey, même pendant le week-end de Pâques. Plus de 1 000 personnes ont assisté aux matchs. Au total, 36 matchs ont été disputés. Faits intéressants : 227 buts ont été marqués et le tournoi s'est déroulé presque sans interruption.

L'organisation d'événements comme celui-ci exige une coordination sans faille. Un merci tout spécial à Tim, Roger, Elaine et Claude (les propriétaires) pour leur précieuse contribution. Robert Beauchemin, responsable de la sécurité, et Eli Lauzon(chronomëtreur), qui, comme moi (Bubba), était présent pour les 36 matchs, ont également apporté une contribution remarquable. Brent Kovach a été d'une aide précieuse tout au long du week-end, prêt à intervenir là où c'était nécessaire.

Merci à tous les bénévoles qui ont assuré l'accueil et la vérification des sacs de hockey pendant tout le tournoi !

Merci également au personnel du Centre pour son excellent travail et à Michelle, de la cantine ! En ce qui concerne les tirages 50/50, je ne me souviens pas des noms de tous les gagnants, mais il y a eu un gagnant à chaque tirage. Grâce à leur contribution, l'association de hockey mineur de Temiscaming a récolté 695 $. Pour les billets de la LNH, Stacey Sharpe a gagné ceux pour le match Capitols contre Leafs et Marc-Antoine Gaudet ceux pour le match Panthers contre Senators.
